MySQL Administrator :: 14.2 Configuring Replication Servers

To use the Replication Status section you must be connected to the server that acts as the master in your replication scheme. Your MySQL servers must be version 4 or higher to use this functionality.

For a slave server to show in the Replication Status screen, it must register itself with the master server. To have a slave server register itself with the master, set the report-host option in your server configuration (my.cnf/my.ini) file. You can also set the value in the Replication tab of the Startup Variables section of MySQL Administrator.
